There's a thesis in here somewhere...
The argument over the usefulness of technology in education is one that has been brewing for awhile and there does not seem to be a peaceful end in sight. A frustrating element of the whole ordeal is how the older generation does not think twice before placing an all-encompassing label of "digital native" on students today. Personally, I have a more difficult time learning a concept when it involves the use of technological mediums, and I know I'm not the only 18-year-old who feels this way. For the issue of technology in the classroom to be resolved, these broad labels must be modified in order to leave room for those of us who are not quite so "hip" in the tech scene.
